I'm Thomas Perryman, a registered nurse and the founder of Quantum Clinical Advisors, based on Maui, Hawaii.

I've spent more than 15 years in healthcare, 12 of them in emergency departments. I've worked in high-acuity EDs and in small community and critical-access hospitals, as a staff, travel and per-diem nurse across Oregon, Alaska and Hawaii. Before I became an RN, I spent more than four years as an EMT.

After years in busy emergency departments, I know what it's like when a team is stretched thin and the little things slip. I've also seen the patient's side of the front door, and how much it matters when someone can find you, reach you and feel cared for before they ever walk in.

I believe healthcare works better for everyone when patients get what they need from the right provider, in the right setting, instead of ending up in the ER. Practices of every size are a big part of that. But I got frustrated watching good practices lose patients over fixable problems. So I started Quantum Clinical Advisors: a nurse's second set of eyes, to help practices be easy to find, easy to reach and ready to care for the people who need them.
